Skeletá é o sexto álbum de estúdio da banda e o primeiro a chegar ao topo da Billboard 200, confirmando que o Ghost é uma das maiores bandas de rock da atualidade. Foi lançado em 25 de abril de 2025.
Tem como singles as músicas Satanized, Lachryma e Peacefield.
Foi produzido pelo próprio Tobias Forge, sob o pseudônimo Gene Walker.
Seguindo com a temática de ter diferentes papas como vocalista, nesse álbum quem assume os vocais é o Papa V Perpetua, que pode ser visto na figura abaixo.
Sobre os significado das músicas, em uma entrevista à estação de rádio 93.3 WMMR da Filadélfia e transcrita por BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Tobias Forge, confirmou que o tema desse álbum é mais introspectivo, principalmente em comparação com o anterior. Ele segue dizendo:
"Eu me senti mais atraído pela ideia deste disco, que era mais sobre iluminar o interior e sobre fazer um álbum sobre os aspectos curativos de ser essencialmente um ser humano, em qualquer estrutura, porque, no fim das contas, a maioria dos humanos é surpreendentemente parecida e demonstra as mesmas habilidades para expressar sentimentos. E esses sentimentos geralmente são bem básicos. E essa ideia me atraiu — fazer um disco que tivesse uma música sobre esperança, uma música sobre ódio, uma música sobre amor, aceitação e todas essas coisas".
A sonoridade abraça de vez o Pop. Conforme escreveu Igor Miranda em seu artigo para a revista Rolling Stone intitulado Ghost soa ainda mais melódico e devoto ao rock anos 80 em Skeletá:
"Skeletá representa mais um passo no projeto de Tobias Forge em transformar o Ghost numa banda de arena, talvez a maior de sua geração. Não suplanta Impera ou mesmo Meliora em força de repertório ou escolhas de produção (especialmente timbres de instrumentos), mas dobra a aposta do álbum anterior em focar numa sonoridade mais acessível — agora, ao explorar ainda mais as influências da já mencionada década de 1980, tão glorificada pelos fãs de rock e de cultura pop como um todo".
Na minha opinião o Ghost entregou mais um álbum relevante. Nas primeiras audições parece mais do mesmo, mas quanto mais a gente vai escutando mais agradável vai ficando e a gente começa a perceber que ele é bem interessante.
